MERCHANDISE

Although you may find one, or more, of Bill & Eli's 4 albums that were produced in the past on a third party music distributors website or in a stray store bin somewhere, “Two Voices – One Guitar”, “We Are the People”, “Runnin' Outta' Georgia” and “bluesgotus” are no longer in print, which also means that they are no longer available via this website. As an alternative, a good portion of the most noted songs composed by Bill & Eli can be found on the CD which is loaded with 40 of original their songs in a super high quality MP3 format, and titled “The Songs & Stories of Bill & Eli Perras – A Legacy Project”. With that said, it is seriously recommended that the CD & Book combination which has the same namesake as the CD, and is sold on its own merit, not only includes the disk with all of the audio, but the 168 page book authored by Eli includes all the written lyrics and stories behind each of the songs, along with some detailed writings on the musical careers of Bill & Eli.

“I have known Bill & Eli Perras for many, many years. We have shared much including the stage, recording sessions, meals and campfire song swaps. You’d think you know someone after all that time and togetherness but you’d be wrong. Only after being given the honor of helping to edit this book did I have the opportunity to experience truly captivating vignettes of their most extraordinary lives, one word at a time. It’s an intimate thing, a bonding of sorts that is both rare and wonderful. Experiencing this book has re-acquainted me with my dear friends Eli and Bill and helped me realize, once again, that the depth of their music, just like the depth of their souls is truly breathtaking. I invite you to share the in the music and lives of two original and exemplary individuals who unite to form a truly inspirational team. I give you, Bill & Eli Bill Perras, musicians, artists, authors and human beings with a timely message and a story to tell. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did!”

RAISING ADAM

In the Face of Adversity

In this book, Eli speaks frankly and with emotion about her life-changing experiences raising her multi-disabled son. This is a book anyone would appreciate reading, especially if your life is connected in any way to a disabled child. The trials and tribulations and the maddening harsh attitudes of many care-givers, especially at the administrative level, seem too much for anyone to bear. Eli's frustrated journey through a healthcare system that really did not know what to do and was poorly equipped to do what they were supposed to is an interesting trip that all of us can identify with. And she does not leave out the heroes she found along her way, as she guided her son through compelling traumas of childhood and puberty to adulthood. As a leading folksinger who specializes in writing and singing protest and civil rights songs, she uses the same voice in these chapters, as well.

“I first met Eli and Adam in April of 1984, when I was the director of a small early intervention program serving babies at high risk for disabilities and their families. It was my first week on the job. Adam had already completed the program, but Eli called me and wanted services for her son. That is when I first witnessed her tireless advocacy and love for her son. What she lacked in resources, she more than made up for in her spirit and drive to help her son.”

Linda Lowman, Dir of Early Intervention Program
